Setup takes under 20 minutes, excluding filling and cooling. Place the tub on a level, water-resistant surface, connect the supplied hoses between the tub and chiller, fill with water, purge the air from the system, and connect to a dedicated 110V / 60 Hz, 15A outlet. No permanent plumbing is required for standard installation.

Replace the filter cartridge every 3–4 weeks, or sooner as needed, depending on usage and water quality.

When following the recommended sanitation protocol, change the water approximately once a month. Without sanitizers (not recommended), change the water at least every two weeks. More frequent changes may be needed depending on usage and water quality.

Rinse the pre-filter mesh on the chiller inlet regularly.

After draining, gently wipe the tub’s interior with clean water and a clean, soft microfiber cloth, then rinse thoroughly. Avoid abrasive sponges, scouring pads, steel wool, and harsh household cleaners.

Follow the guidelines in the User Guide for water care, sanitation, and maintenance.

WARRANTY

Every Barrel system includes a 2-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Chill+ Extended Warranty options add 3 or 5 years after the included 2-year warranty, providing 5 or 7 years total. Purchase at checkout or contact info@polarmonkeys.com within 30 days of your system purchase. Shipping is free for covered warranty claims within the continental U.S.

FREE SHIPPING

Complimentary white-glove delivery, where available, includes placement in your room of choice on the first floor, unboxing, and packaging removal. Service availability depends on your location and our delivery partner’s coverage. Installation is not included.

RETURNS

We offer a 30-day return policy from the date of delivery. Products must be returned unused and in original condition and packaging. For returns within the continental U.S., Polar Monkeys covers return shipping. A 25% restocking fee applies.

Are the steps included with The Barrel?

All barrel models are fully insulated and include exterior access steps. The Cyber Barrel Silver and both Star Treatment 2.0 finishes also include an integrated interior seat/step. The Cyber Barrel Black does not include an interior seat/step.
How much floor space does The Barrel need?

The complete barrel system layout measures 72″ × 55″, including the tub, exterior steps, chiller, and required ventilation clearance. Maintain at least 12 inches of clearance on all sides of the chiller; this clearance is already accounted for in the stated layout.
Does The Barrel chiller save money versus using bagged ice?

The included ChillX system cools water to 32°F and offers ice-making capabilities, eliminating the need to routinely purchase bagged ice.
Does The Barrel also function as a hot tub?

Yes. The chiller included with every Barrel system also heats water up to 107°F, making it a year-round tool for both cold immersion and warm water recovery or contrast therapy.
What are the electrical requirements for The Barrel?

ChillX requires a dedicated 110V / 60 Hz, 15A outlet. GFCI protection is included with the system.
Do I need special plumbing or a water line?

No permanent plumbing is required for standard installation. Fill the tub using a garden hose and drain it through the built-in drain valve. Custom direct-drain configurations are available upon request and require planning and installation by a qualified plumber.
