What You Need Before Installation: Electrical and Space Requirements
Before you begin your cold plunge home installation, we recommend going through this short checklist. This will help ensure a smooth installation process and the safe, reliable operation of your cold plunge:

Space: Make sure you position your cold plunge on a level, stable surface (indoor or outdoor). For indoor use, we recommend choosing a waterproof or tiled area, in case of condensation.

Power Outlet: All Polar Monkeys residential cold plunges plug into a standard 120V outlet, with no special wiring required. We recommend using one dedicated outlet for your cold plunge, with no other devices plugged in.

Ventilation: Make sure there’s enough clearance around your chiller to allow for proper air circulation and access.

Step-by-Step Cold Plunge Installation Guide

Unwrap & Position Your Tub: Place the cold plunge on your chosen surface.

Unpack All Components: Remove your chiller, 2 hoses, filter cartridge, wrench, pre-filter, teflon tape, drain valve, and GFCI plug from the packaging.

Connect Drain Valve: Grab your drain valve and wrap with the included teflon tape - this ensures a tight fit and no leaks. Then, twist it into the port labelled “DRAIN” at the base of your tub.

Install Filter Cartridge: Unscrew the clear filter case at the back of your chiller, using the included wrench. Then, unwrap your filter cartridge and insert it into the chamber. Screw it back in tightly with the wrench.

Connect Pre-Filter: Find your pre-filter and connect it directly to your chiller’s “INLET” port.

Connect Hoses: Take the elbow-end hose and connect one end to your tub’s “OUTLET” port, and the other to your chiller’s “OUTLET” port. Then, connect the other hose to your tub’s “INLET” port and your chiller’s “INLET” port. Make sure there are no loops or twists in the hoses.

Fill The Tub: Using a garden hose, fill your cold plunge with water, up to about 8 inches below the top of the tub. Optional: use our hose filter for crystal-clean water.

Purge The Air: Open the air valve on your chiller to let any extra air out. Once water begins to flow out steadily, close the valve.

Plug It In: Plug your chiller into the GFCI extension, and then plug that into your chosen 120V outlet. Don’t plug anything else into that same outlet.
